This micro story was written in response to Esther Chilton’s “Can You Tell A Story In… 53 words” challenge, citing five words which need to be included as part of the task: Helicopter, Earwax, Horseshoe, Fountain and Dentist.

I’m not sure my new dentist is qualified. He turned up in a helicopter, so he seems well off. But he was more interested in flushing out my earwax in a water fountain than treating my aching molars. He had a tattoo of a horseshoe on his forehead too. Said it was lucky.
